Ray Hermanson is a Partner in Squar Milner’s Audit and Assurance Services Department. He emphasizes the development and maintenance of a close working relationship with the firm’s clients and has a very diverse background including experience in private industry, tax, SEC, and Big 4 audit that provides the base for excellent audit services. Ray emphasizes practical approaches to today’s ever increasing complex world of financial accounting and auditing standards. Ray also heads our firm’s quality control function and specializes in mortgage banking, high technology, software, and start-up companies.

Business Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Ray owned a private practice in Newport Beach , California . He specialized in small business consulting, tax planning and tax preparation for businesses and individuals, financial statements, audits, reviews, compilations and litigation support services. Business clients included manufacturing, contractors, service organizations, real estate development and property management companies.

Prior to his private practice, Ray specialized in accounting and auditing for real estate developers for Hugh M. Saddington & Co. and prior to that, was the Controller and Director of California Operations of Bally Fitness Products Corporation, a $75 million subsidiary of Bally Manufacturing Corporation and manufacturer of the “Lifecycle” and other fitness products. Ray started his career with the Big 4 in audit.
