Wendell is a Certified Public Accountant and a Partner in Squar Milner’s Financial Institutions Industry Group. With a wide spectrum of practical experience – from sales and marketing to process improvement – Wendell specializes in providing audit, risk management and consulting services to the Firm’s financial institution clients.
Wendell has experience in serving financial institutions, from de novo banks to large bank holding companies, mortgage banking companies, credit unions and security brokerage firms. He specializes in risk assessment and risk management services, including external and internal auditing and regulatory reporting. He also has significant knowledge of the regulatory and reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Business Experience
In addition, Wendell has worked with institutions to develop profit maximization strategies, strategic growth plans and incentive compensation plans, among other strategic financial matters. He also consults with financial institutions on regulatory issues, including those involving the FDIC, OCC, OTS, FRB and SEC. Wendell has significant experience in implementing the internal control audit requirements of FDICIA and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Prior to joining Squar Milner, Wendell served as the financial institutions group industry leader for a large regional firm on the East Coast.
