Area of Focus
Scharrell Jackson is the Chief Financial and Operating Officer of Squar Milner. Her areas of concentration are finance and administrative operations. She has played a major role in the growth and success of the firm overseeing three mergers, and manages the Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Administrative departments. She is also actively involved in all aspects of the general operations of the firm, working directly with the Managing Partner and Executive Committee.
Scharrell has launched a philanthropic team at Squar Milner to help better the Southern California community by fundraising and working with several organizations including but not limited to – Girls Inc., Working Wardrobes, Human Options, Pink Ladder, Orangewood Children’s Foundation and American Heart Association. She sits on the Board of Directors for Human Options, an organization restoring hope and rebuilding lives, helping battered women and their families. She is also on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc. of Orange County, an organization that helps under serviced girls between the ages of 5-18. Additionally, Scharrell works on various committees with the American Heart Association – recently chairing the Go Red for Women Luncheon to raise money for women heart disease research. She is a mentor to women helping them to obtain upward mobility and confidence, as well as mentoring underprivileged youth. She is an active member of Saddleback Church and hosts a weekly bible study for women in her home.
Scharrell has been a visiting instructor at Concordia University teaching business management. She teaches a Leadership Training program at Squar Milner. She has received numerous nominations for professional achievement including being nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s CFO of the Year Award for two consecutive years as well as being awarded the Orange County Business Women of the Year in 2011.
Business Experience
Scharrell has served as an executive manager in the field of Finance/Accounting and Operations for over 20 years, working in industries such as Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing and Professional Services, serving in positions such as Controller, VP of Finance and CFO. She is known for her remarkable acumen in business matters and her commitment in developing leadership attributes in others. She has been with Squar Milner since February 2000.
