Squar Milner LLP is proud to announce that Joe Kiuchi and Kevin O’Connell have each been promoted to Audit Partner, and Shashi Mirpuri has been promoted to Managing Partner of the Encino office. All three promotions are effective July 1, 2020.

Meet Our New Partners

Joe Kiuchi joined the firm in 2015 as a supervisor and quickly demonstrated his leadership skills and technical proficiency. In 2018, he became a critical person in building out the Japanese Service Desk. Currently serving as the Director of Japanese Audit Services for Squar Milner, he is largely responsible for the growth in the audit practice servicing Japanese companies going public in the United States. Joe has over 15 years of combined experience in public accounting and private industry. He holds his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Dallas Baptist University.

Kevin O’Connell joined Squar Milner’s San Francisco office in 2018 and quickly rose through the ranks from Senior Manager to Partner. He has over 11 years of experience specializing in assurance and compliance services, with particular expertise serving not-for-profit organizations and consumer goods and technology companies. Kevin is an up-and-coming thought leader in the accounting field, presenting on various topics for the California Society of CPAs, OSC2, LeadingAge, and the University of San Francisco. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from California Poly, San Luis Obispo.


Meet Our New Encino Managing Partner

Shashi Mirpuri has served as a Tax Partner in the Encino office for the last several years. Not only has he worked diligently to bring in and service clients, but he has made a committed effort to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment in the office. Throughout his time with the firm, Shashi has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills and dedication to the firm. He offers over 20 years of experience in individual and corporate taxation for both public and private companies. Shashi earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from California State University, Northridge.
