Stephen J. Landsman, CPA, was awarded the San Fernando Valley Business Journal 2019 Accountant of the Year Client Services Award. He currently serves as a Tax Partner with Squar Milner LLP and offers over 20 years of experience featuring client-oriented tax planning, preparation, and compliance services for real estate, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, retail, professional, entertainment, and service industry clients. Stephen’s tax planning and preparation expertise includes tax structuring for real estate entities and his financial reporting includes the audit, review, and compilation of financial statements and governmental “yellow book” auditing, compliance testing, and reporting.  As a leader and active participant in engagements of due diligence, agreed upon procedures, and forensic investigations, Stephen prepares and provides custom reports, court declarations, and expert testimony.

Prior to joining Squar Milner, Stephen was a Senior Manager in the Tax and Accounting Department of White, Zuckerman, Warsavsky, Luna, Wolf & Hunt, LLP.  Here, he provided tax services, financial reporting and accounting, forensic services, expert reports, and testimony to business clients and high net worth individuals from diverse industries and professions.  Before that, Stephen was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a commercial and residential real estate company and a wholesale/distribution business. Earlier, at Landsman, Frank & Bloch, Stephen worked as a Tax and Accounting Manager, providing a full range of accounting and tax services that included affordable housing tax credit audits, business management, audits, reviews, compilations, and tax planning and preparation, to clients in entertainment and other industries and professions.
